A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abaji Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Bilyaminu Musa Sokodabo, has said he accepted the call of the people of the council to contest in the February 21, 2026, chairmanship of the council in the interest of upcoming generations in the area.
Bilyaminu, who is the Tafidan Abaji, said this when he met with PDP youth groups across the 10 wards of the council on Thursday.
He also promised to give the people of the council quality leadership.
According to him, after a wider consultation with the relevant stakeholders across the 10 wards of the council, he agreed to vie for the chairmanship position of the council during the poll.
He pledged to improve the health, economic, education and infrastructural sectors that would have direct and better the lives of the people of the council if given the chance.
