The National Alliance for Legislation and Good Governance (NALGG) said the 27.3% of votes the ruling APC got from the North West in the last presidential poll was enough for the party’s leadership to zone the Senate presidency to the geo-political zone.
The group stated this in a statement jointly signed by the convener, Comrade Muhammad Auwal and secretary, Dr Mujitapha Bello.

“We call on the APC, the president-elect and others stakeholders to put things in order, do a comprehensive stocktaking and reflect on the immense contribution the Northwest made in ensuring victory for the party, and zone the Presidency of the Senate to the Northwest, and further micro-zone it to Kano State,” the statement said.
