The workshop, which was organised by Oxfam in collaboration with a Dutch donor, stressed the need to enhance women participation in agriculture.
The programme officer of the Development Research and Project Centre (DRPC), Bulama Mustapha, said the training was informed by the desire to encourage farmers to get loans to boost their operations.
Speaking during the  workshop which centred on training the farmers in Katsina how to write viable proposals, Mustapha noted that a lot of funds are there but the farmers especially those in the northern part of the country can’t access them because of their inability to write good and acceptable proposals.
