Why our films are sensitive to Nigerian environment – Inflix

The Country Manager of Inflix, Ngozi Maduke-Dozie has explained that despite tapping into the internet-bound opportunities to make local and foreign movies available to Nigerians at affordable prices, the tech-entertainment firm is nonetheless sensitive to the Nigerian environment.

Maduke-Dozie who said this at a briefing in Lagos said this has become expedient because Inflix is quite aware of Nigerian socio-cultural configurations and would not be willing to make available films that may be deemed insulting to sensibilities or that ridicule cultural values.

She said the advent of Inflix in Nigeria is in recognition of the internet savvy of many Nigerians and the need to democratize accessibility to entertainment without necessarily infringing on people’s intellectual works. She said to ensure smooth relationship between the firm and Nollywood, a working relationship has been established as it is believed that such has to be beneficial to all parties concerned.
