Why Rapper Eva, Trybe Records parted

It was learnt that while the deal was on, the label tried to push the singer and even facilitated her trip to London during the Olympics for a few gigs. The label ensured that her single ‘I Don Did It’ got on BET rotation.

A message signed by eLDee announcing the end of the deal: “Trybe Records and Eva Alordiah have agreed to terminate her recording contract effective immediately. Trybe Records’ vision is to discover and nurture the talents of our artists while operating with purpose, valuing relationships with our partners within the industry, and being persistent in creating and releasing quality music.

“Unfortunately, over the past five months Eva’s vision has not aligned with ours and thus, both parties have agreed to separate. We wish Eva the best in her future endeavours and we plan on continuing towards our goal of creating quality music for Nigeria and beyond,” the message added.

When she was signed to the label in May, Eva had hit Twitter to confirm the deal and even revealed that she had been on a long journey through many labels before Trybe’s deal. “Wow! I had to go through 13 Record deals to finally get here…Did I say yes to the 14th? Yes! Am I happy? Oh Yes!!!” Eva tweeted via h her twitter account.

Meanwhile, Eva is yet to comment on the matter.
