He said such failure was totally unacceptable at the university, describing it as a tragedy which the institution would save its students from.
He stated this at the 2-day training for members of the newly established University and College Counseling and Career Committee, an offshoot of the KWASU Counseling and Career Services Centre.
Na’Allah explained that the centre had the mandate to provide personal counseling for both students and staff of the university.
According to him, the centre provides vital support to students in an effort to assist them in attaining their educational, career and personal goals in line with the vision of the university.
Coordinator of the Counseling and Career Services Centre, Mrs. Olabisi Adedigba, said the rationale behind setting up the committee was because of the need for specialised guidance and counselling support at the institution.
She explained that members of the committee were formed from different colleges and departments at the institution, adding that the task of the committee would be to work closely with the Counseling and Career Services Centre to meet the needs of students and fulfill the goals of the university.
“The committee is to identify students with counseling needs in their various colleges or departments and refer them to the Counseling Centre,” she said.
