Immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has expressed worry at the level of election violence in the country and called for national dialogue to discuss the trend.

In a congratulatory message to the governors-elect David Lyon and Yahaya Bello of Bayelsa and Kogi states, respectively over their victories at the November 16, 2019 governorship polls, Madumere condemned the theatre of violence that played out during the two elections, urging that politicians come to true repentance, where elections should be seen as a means to contribute towards the improvement of the lives of the people and not war.

He described Lyon’s victory as well deserved and a reflection of the will of the people of Bayelsa.
