Lately some persons across the country have been making hate speeches against others they perceive as enemies. This is not the dream of the founding fathers of this nation. We cannot make progress if we continue like this. Recently, the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, came out to condemn the action. Many other leaders have also done the same.
It is important for us all to listen to the voice of reason and stop making inciting statements that could throw this nation into problems.
Already, we are battling several issues, including economic recession and poor infrastructure. We do not need war in this country and the only way we can live in peace is to respect one another. No ethnic group is superior to the other and there is no need for anyone or region to look down on the other. We all need each other to survive as a country. Let us consider all that our leaders went through to secure the nation’s independence.
Instead of fighting one another, let us all work together to tackle the problems bedevilling the country. Together, we can overcome all obstacles.
