The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said it supports the Farmers Interactive Forum and Exhibition put together by Daily Trust and the Kebbi State Government because it will enhance socio-economic development in areas of job creation, food sufficiency and youth empowerment in Kebbi State and the country at large.

While speaking at the event, NNPC representative, Mr. Abdulganiyu Sani, said the NNPC would further strengthen its partnership with Kebbi State for it to fully realise its economic potentials through its agricultural activities.

He said, “We are in support of this laudable project. We would continue to partner with the stakeholders in the agricultural sector of Kebbi State.”

He commended Daily Trust for the agricultural exhibition, noting that it was timely and would go a long way to assist the state in tapping its agricultural potentials and farmers’ empowerment.

He stressed that Kebbi was leading in rice production in the country and that the NNPC would continue to partner with the state.
