Speaking to Feverpitch on his team’s performance, the former Kano Pillars coach said he prosecuted the league with mostly inexperienced players as he said he did not get the cash backing to recruit the right players.

According to him, he had no option but to work with the players he met on ground and that did not help him in actualizing his dream for Wikki because the players could not meet up with his demands.

Bosso said he was forced to stretch the players but since they could not offer more than what they have, it was not possible for Wikki Tourists to live up to expectations.

He reiterated that over fifty percent of the players do not boast of premier league experience and before he could bring them in tune with the demands of the league, it was too late for Wikki to make any impact.

“I must confess that my team did not do well. The truth is that I did not get the right players to work with. I worked with players I met on ground and most of them did not match the standard of premier league.

“I had no option but to work with those players but since they could not do more than what they know, it became really difficult to succeed”.

Bosso said he made efforts to get quality players but there was no money for him to go for the caliber of players he wanted to get for Wikki.

The former Niger Tornadoes coach, however, hinted that if he is to stay with Wikki, the club should be ready to put on ground a substantial amount of money for the recruitment of players.
