The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has assured residents of the territory that they will witness greater “dividends of democracy” in 2026.

Reflecting on the past year, Wike said, “Generally, one could say that 2025 had been very good for us. We have seen a lot of changes in the FCT, which is exactly what the residents expect of us.

“For me, it had been a tremendous year. While we might not have achieved every single goal due to a few setbacks, it remains a landmark year.

“I believe that in 2026, the residents of the FCT will see even more positive transformations.”

Regarding his style of leadership, Wike said, “I don’t have any regrets. In every role I have taken and every goal I have set for myself, I have been able to achieve results.

“Yes, there may be one or two setbacks – as is bound to happen – but I stand by every decision I have taken.”
