Despite the expulsion slammed on some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, at the weekend, the faction has fixed a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for Tuesday.

Apart from the NEC, which was termed an emergency meeting, the faction also said it would be holding a Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.

The BoT meeting has been slated for the National Headquarters of the party in Wuse, zone 5 popularly referred to as Wadata Plaza.

The notice of the meeting was signed by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who insists that he remains the National Secretary of the party.

Both meetings are scheduled to hold at the NEC Hall of the Wadata Plaza, Abuja and while the BoT meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m, the NEC meeting will follow at 2:00 p.m.

Anyanwu noted that “Attendance is very important as crucial matters will be discussed and addressed.”

The National Secretariat of the party has been under lock and key since last month when the Abuja High Court ruled against last Saturday National Convention of the party.

Security operatives locked the offices after the factional Acting National Chairman, Abdulrahman Muhammed, stormed the Wadata Plaza with his supporters and assumed office as the National chairman.

But despite the court order, the convention went ahead and one of its major highlights was the expulsion of Wike, Anyanwu, former National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, Imo PDP Chairman, Austin Nwachukwu, and others for alleged anti-party activities and plans to destroy the party.
