WIMBIZ empowers 150 school girls in Ibadan

A non-governmental organisation, Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), comprising accomplished female professionals in various fields, has empowered more than 150 secondary school girls at Onireke High School, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The Project Lead for WIMBIZ, Ibadan Zone, Moremi Adeleye, said the 150 girls are part of the 2,000 girls empowered almost simultaneously across six locations  in Nigeria as part of activities marking its 20th anniversary.

According to her, the Big Sister Programme was initiated about five years ago, and the organisation has empowered more than 15,000 secondary school girls, in different parts of the country.
