Seven students have emerged winners of the Qur’an recitation competition organised by Nurul Bayan International Academy in Abuja.
14 other students won the second and third positions. 128 students and teachers from different schools in the FCT participated in Qur’an recitation, memorization, Kutba (sermon) presentation and adhan (call for prayers).
Speaking at the closing ceremony in Abuja, the school’s Executive Director, Hajiya Maryam Muhammad Tahan, said the gesture was to promote reading and memorization habit among schools and other individuals.
