They emerged victorious at Thursday’s finals of the annual competition jointly organized by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria and the FCT Universal Basic Education Board with the aim of promoting reading as well as fostering greater understanding between the two countries.
This is the 4th edition of the competition and as usual, two of the top contenders are billed to take up scholarships in the Asian country to pursue university education.
This year marked a significant growth in the number of entrants with some 30 schools entering, 10 more than in the previous year.
However only the 10 best schools competed in the finals held at the ERC Thursday, where Model Secondary School Maitama clinched top spot ahead of Government Secondary School Karu, and Government Girl’s Secondary School, Dutse respectively.
Winners went home with Samsung branded products as well as two slots for scholarship to study in Korea Republic upon completion of their secondary education.
