Winners emerge in Microsoft competition for students

A student of Aduvie International School, Abuja, Ochanya Elizabeth Idoko, emerged overall national champion with 985 points out of 1000 points in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 program while Sidhant Bendre, British International School,  Lagos emerged overall best in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 program with 979 points out of 1000.
Another student of Aduvie International School, Abuja,  Nabai Clever Iboro  emerged overall winner in the Microsoft Word 2013 program with 963 points over 1000 while Babington Adebusola Grace of Holy Child College, Lagos emerged winner  with 954 points over 1000 in the Microsoft Word 2010 program.
Griffin Oluwatinuke Mitchelle, Bellina College Lagos emerged overall winner in the Microsoft Excel 2013 program with 868 over 1000while Abure Atafo of the Childville school emerged overall best in the Microsoft Excel 2010 program with 925 points out of 1000.
Chief Executive, ReadManna Ventures Limited, Mrs Edna Agusto, said 350 entries from 21 secondary schools in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Edo, Kwara and FCT were received but 124 students were shortlist for the national competition which took place in Lagos and Abuja.
According to her, the national champions of the six examinations alongside two IT teachers would form a national team that will compete at the 2015 world championship competition in Dallas, United States of America in August this year.
Agusto said the competition was  to challenge students to demonstrate their ability in the use of Microsoft Word,  Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
