Son of renown Kano business man,Late Sani Marshal and Chairman of Concern Youth Forum,Alhaji Shittu Marshal yesterday said the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) stand a better chance of winning the 2015 Presidential election if they field Governor Sule Lamido as its Presidential candidate.

Marshal who disclosed this in a chat with Daily Trust said Lamido is a nationalist who believe in Nigeria and he is the last standing true politician from the north.

” I want to say that Lamido has paid his dues as far as loyalty to PDP is concern. In 2011 against all odds he stood his ground and campaign for President Jonathan. He was called all sorts of name. He did that because he believe in unity of Nigeria. Lamido is a foundation member of the PDP. He is the only real politician in the north today. He is been there right from NEPU,PRP,SDP and now PDP. He has acquitted himself well in the last seven years in Jigawa. If he can transform Jigawa with the little resources available,we believe he can transform Nigeria in the shortest possible time. If PDP want to win in 2015, the candidate to present to the public is Lamido”

He said they youth believe in Lamido because Lamido believe in the youth adding that Lamido has empowered more than 100,000 youth through skill acquisition and he Lamido nominated the youngest Minister in Nigeria today,Dr.Nurudeen Muhammed,Minister of state Foreign Affairs.

Marshal told Daily Trust that even at the just concluded Democracy Day celebration,over 50 youth from Bayelsa state participated in the occasion in Jigawa adding that the gesture goes to show how detribalise Lamido is.
