The Team Leader and Provost of WIV Human Rights Advocacy  Academy, Mrs Blessing Eze, has urged graduates of social entrepreneurship and human rights activism, who were trained in its leadership and human rights advocacy programme to positively impact the lives of communities across Nigeria and beyond.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony at LCCI, Ikeja, Lagos on Saturday, she stated that the WIVA Academy was established to ensure that citizens are trained to become outstanding leaders and human rights activists who are passionate about ensuring that victims of injustice,  and human rights abuses get justice.

Mrs Okojie Eze said the training programme was aimed at attaining the academy’s aims and objectives of imparting students with knowledge that can give them opportunities for enhanced positive impact on society through good social responsibility.

She urged the graduating students to be of good character wherever they found themselves, noting that people cannot lead others without first leading themselves.

“You can only lead others when you have instilled the right attitude and right character in yourself,” she stated.

Mrs  Eze said there are many victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence and other injustices who need justice and, therefore, called on the graduates not to relent in ensuring that perpetrators of crime are reported to the right authorities and brought to book so that victims can get the justice they deserve.
