Conflict Transformation expert , Dr Dayo Kusa  said women still face challenges and unequal opportunities and their angles to every report should be analysed and brought to the fore.
Managing Editor, Premium Times, Musikilu  Mojeed said there is a difference between conventional journalism and investigative journalism.
He advised the reporters to know the relevant Federal and state laws, the Constitution,  the Child Rights Act 2003, national gender policy and appropriation laws.  “Know how to dig into databases on the web, go to the field, build contacts and ask questions. Be patient, open minded and persevering as you investigate,” he said. He posited that investigation could be lonely/risky but a reporter must keep low key and blend with the environment where he is operating and analyse data websites to know when there is an important update.
