Woman, 65, killed, buried on her farm

A 65-year-old woman, Madam Felicia Atigi, has been killed and buried in a shallow grave on her farm at Ekehuan community in Benin City, Edo State.

It was gathered that the incident happened on July 30, when Madam Felicia left for her farm in company of two boys but did not return.

Late Madam Felicia’s son, John Atigi, reported the issue to the police. The police mobilised and combed the farm area and discovered her mutilated corpse in a shallow grave.

City & Crime gathered that the boys who accompanied the late Madam Felicia had earlier threatened to kill her.

When contacted, police spokesperson in the state, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the two boys had been arrested in connection with the murder.

He said, “The two suspects, Felix Ajaruwa and one Smally, were arrested and are undergoing investigation.

“They were said to have threatened to kill the woman some weeks ago.”
