A woman simply identified as Mrs Ngodoo reportedly slumped and died while separating fight between her two children at their residence along Modern Market road in Makurdi metropolis of Benue State.

The deceased woman, who until her death was said to be a PhD student of the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi (FUAM), reportedly died in the process of preventing her 28-year-old son from stabbing his sister.

It was gathered that the son, Dominic, was known to many in his vicinity as a trouble maker who became a source of worry to his mother.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the police in the state, DSP Catherine Anene, said the son was already in police “safe custody.”
