A 21-year-old woman, identified as Dinner has allegedly stabbed her 34-year-old lover to death following a misunderstanding in Delta State.
The suspect, an SSS 2 dropout who has two children with the deceased, allegedly stabbed him in the chest, which led to his death.
Although not legally married, the woman, who hails from Bayelsa State, and the deceased had been cohabiting for about four years before the unfortunate incident.
In a video of the suspect’s interrogation by the Delta State Command’s spokesperson, SP Edafe Bright, the suspect stated that she and her lover had a misunderstanding before his death.

She said that as a result of the argument, the deceased asked her to leave his house, saying their relationship was over.
“I left the house that very day and still came back on the same day,” she explained.
“I asked him to help load the meter card, but he didn’t respond. I then went to our neighbour to ask for help with the card, which infuriated him further. He said he had warned me not to seek any help from the neighbour,’’ she added.
She claimed that after this incident, the deceased began to assault her and in the process, she ran into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed him to death.
She added that she rushed the deceased to the hospital for medical attention, but he later died after doctors said he had lost a lot of blood.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect is currently in police custody and an investigation is ongoing.
