A woman has been arrested by the police after she allegedly bought goods with fake naira notes at the Oregbeni Market, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, Edo State.
It was gathered that the suspect bought items worth over N200,000 with the fake N1,000 notes.
One of the trader victims, reportedly suspected the new notes given to her by the suspect and raised alarm.
Following the discovery, the traders trailed the suspect who kept moving from shop to shop looking for items to buy.
