The police in Lagos State have arrested a 30-year-old woman, Eucharia Ndigwe, for allegedly stabbing her 15-year-old housemaid, Florence Anienene, with a kitchen knife in the Adaloko area of Ojo.
The suspect was arrested after neighbours raised alarm over a deep cut which they saw on the side of the victim, Florence. On inquiry, the victim told the neighbours that the suspect stabbed her for allowing her baby to fall from her hands.
The command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed that the suspect was arrested on Saturday, said that due to the fact she was heavily pregnant she was allowed to go home and asked to report at the station every day.

He said the victim had been moved to the command’s gender unit where she would get adequate medical attention while investigation progressed.
