Woman charged with obstruction of environmental officers

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a woman, Omoleye Adetomiwa (26), at a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged unlawful obstruction of environmental officers.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on December 5, 2025, at about 7am in Ado-Ekiti, the defendant unlawfully obstructed Ibitoye Temitope Samson and Ilesanmi Sefunmi of the Ekiti State Environmental Management Authority contrary to Sections 187(b) and 181(1) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Oluwafemi Alabi, urged the court to admit his client to bail. The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned to January 22, 2026.
