Woman charged with phone theft in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned a 34-year-old woman, Adesewa Ogundele, over an alleged theft of a phone.

The prosecutor, Inspector Elijah Adejare, told the court that on March 27 at about 10am at No. 8, Peace Avenue, in Ado-Ekiti, the defendants allegedly stole a Tecno phone valued at N90,000:00, property of one Opeloye Abosede.

Inspector Adejare said the defendant on the same date, time and place, conducted herself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace.

Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Joy Raphael, urged the court to grant her bail, the request, Magistrate Kehinde Awosika, granted in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till May 22, for hearing.
