Woman remanded for allegedly pouring hot water on co-wife

A Sharia court sitting in Dawakin Kudu LGA of Kano State has ordered the remand of a housewife, Ni’ima Ahmad, for allegedly pouring hot water on her co-wife, Fadila Lawan, during a domestic dispute.

The prosecution told the court that Ni’ima attacked Fadila during an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation, causing her injuries.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Khadi, Kamalu Haruna, ordered that the defendant be remanded in a correctional facility pending further proceedings and adjourned to January 18.
