Titilayo, led in evidence by her counsel, Abas Oyewale-Freeman, told Justice Elfreda Williams-Dawodu, that her husband abandoned her after a week of marriage which took place on April 6, 2006.“I am no longer in love with him,’’ she said.

She claimed that her husband had told her in a text message sometime in July 2007 that another woman was pregnant for him in the UK.

Titilayo said she had not been able to speak with her husband since she got the text.

She said that although she knew that her husband was travelling out of the country for greener pastures, she was unaware of his plan to abandon her.

Titilayo alleged that her husband’s family had been hostile to her, adding that she was sent out of her husband’s elder’s brother house where she was staying after the marriage.

She also alleged that the man attempted to forcefully retrieve her husband’s property and documents in her possession.

The court adjourned the case till Dec. 15 for cross-examination. (NAN)
