The chairman, Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has described women as pillars of development in the society.

He stated this when he hosted members of the newly elected executives of the Kuje chapter of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) who were on a courtesy visit to his office yesterday.

The chairman, while congratulating the new executives, said his administration would do everything within its power to ensure that  issues concerning women were  given priority in the council.

Earlier, the chairperson of the Kuje chapter of the NCWS, Mrs. Anna Dogara, appreciated the effort of the council chairman in supporting the cause of women in the area.

She noted that the society was poised to galvanizing women and empowering them for national development.
