The chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has promised to sustain the participation of women in governance.
Maikalangu gave the assurance in a statement to mark this year’s International Women Day in Abuja.

Maikalagu maintained that gender equity would be given priority in the years ahead.
He said, ‘’Our administration facilitated the appointment of many women in our cabinet. Most of the heads of departments in the council at present are women.’’
