Women have been advised to do regular breasts examinations, go for pap smear often and also take care of their bodies.
A medical expert, Dr. Sophie Booth gave the advice while carrying out assessment on women during the free health screening exercise organized by the International Federation of Business and Professional Women in collaboration with the Maitama District Hospital as part of her end of year service to the community in Abuja.
She said women need to pay attention to their health through diet, exercise, screening and their general lifestyle.
Mrs. Bukola Ayeni-Amu who led a team from the association said they decided to partner with the Maitama District Hospital in order to provide pap smears, mammograms and a wellness talk for her members and the community.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD) Dr. Toun Sotimehin, made the hospital facilities and staff available for the screening exercise.
