The Sisters Support Foundation has educated women in Jos, Plateau State capital, on how to conduct themselves during their first experience of the menstrual cycle.

The women were also educated on hygiene tips for a healthy vagina during and after their menstrual periods.

The programme, which took place on Saturday at the Yunus Foundation School Jos, brought female parents and schoolgirls from different communities in the centre city of Jos.

Aeeshat Abdulhamid Ismai’l, the coordinator of the foundation, said the purpose of the programme was to draw the attention of mothers to their responsibility of telling their children what to do during their first experience of mensuration.
