A group of women in entrepreneur has said they intend breaking new innovation and creativity to move their businesses forward as we move into the year 2016.
Mrs. Angela Ajala an Alumni Executive of Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) the organizer of the event in her keynote address to mark the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) said the women in business are combating every challenge in breaking new ground in their businesses and profession, adding that they are using the event to celebrate the part of turning idea to reality.
“We are celebrating the reality of purpose.  Many of us our dreams and vision have been aborted due to circumstances we are not even sure of. Women are contending with many things like work time balance and other.”
She encouraged participant to face any challenge they face in their businesses, saying that failure is legitimate.  “It is not an aberration. It’s a legitimate thing to face. You dust yourself and you pick up again and move on.
Mrs. Ajala who said business women should take a review at the end of the year and reflect on their progress while checking on what they  need to do right and area where they need to work harder in the coming year also said that  the ability to forecast is very important and a must learn for any business person.
“Learn to know where your industry is moving and catch up on it. The place of preparation is very vital in whatever you are doing. You must plan your business for the 365 days in a year.  Never allow a year to pass by without setting out your action. If you don’t plan it will end the same way, nothing added or happen and you wonder why? The why is for you to answer,” she said.
The Alumni Director and Character Management Executive (EDC) Nnena Obum  said  GEW is celebrated in the 3rd week of every November to celebrate  innovations, creativities and entrepreneurship development.
