Women in IT leader pledges to uphold professionalism

The newly elected President of the Nigerian Women In Information Technology (NIWIIT), Florence Babalola, has pledged to promote professionalism and maintain the highest standard of ethics and conduct in the Information Technology (IT) profession.
She stated this at the inauguration of the newly elected members of National Executive Council of NIWIIT during the 26th National Conference and Exhibition of Nigeria Computer Society in Abuja recently.
“We promise to uphold the etiquettes and discipline of the profession as we carry on with our work in the industry,” she said.
While inaugurating the council, the President of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) , Prof. Adesola Aderounmu urged the new executives to continue to uphold the standard and the virtues of the profession as they take on their new roles.
The newly elected members will serve from 2016 to 2018.
NIWIIT is an interest group in the Nigeria Computer Society which provides a voice for both professional and non-professional females in the IT industry.
