The permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Ibukun Abimbola Odusote, who declared the training open yesterday at the National Cereal Research Institute (NCRI), Badegi Niger state, said, 20 women were drawn from each of the four pilot states which include Bauchi, Adamawa, Plateau and Kaduna, to participate in the training.
The Permanent Secretary, who was represented by a Deputy Director for Youth in Agriculture, said agribusiness investment training of women on Acha processing and packaging under the Growing Girls and Women in Nigeria (GWIN) initiative marked a turning point in the history of production of Acha cereal crop in Nigeria.
