Word of caution to Olisa Metuh

He is not only not careful with what he says but also very reckless in his public utterances. Though without any substantial prove, recently he has been linking the level of the insecurity all over the nation but mainly in the North to some prominent opposition figures and or those that fallen out with the federal government.
In his latest public statement, as usual, after any national tragedy that further exposed the current federal government incompetence -the Nyanya bomb blast in the outskirts of Abuja, the FCT, Mr Metuh on last Tuesday accused Gen. Buhari, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former FCT Minister Nasir El-Rufai and Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi of making utterances that helped the insurgency in the country.
He said inflammatory utterances by these politicians against the emergence of President Jonathan sparked off hatred and attracted insurgents who started demanding the ouster of the President with threats to cripple the system through acts of terrorism.
However, Buhari had personally issued a statement last Thursday given the PDP secretariat a seven (7) days ultimatum to retract its accusation linking him with Boko Haram terrorist acts and tender an unreserved public apology to him or face a legal battle in the court of law.
Now, I think unless and until he Mr Olisa Metuh and his party are made to know that they had enough of these reckless utterances and that it must be stopped, they will continue with this divisive act that will only end up worsening the already ugly state of our security. It is very unfortunate that rather than the PDP-led federal government which is saddled with the security of our lives and properties facing up squarely the issue on ground, it is always looking for scapegoats to blame when ever things go wrong just to cover up their failure.
If they don’t know how to guard their tongue, then somebody must teach them. No more playing politics with our security. Please Buhari should sue both the PDP and its publicity secretary even if they tender their apology. Yes! This time around, there should be no more ‘settling out of the court’. Only that will make them stop, Abati (Special Assistant to the President) has done that before after which he apologized but still Olisa Metuh repeated the same thing. Now we are no more sure somebody will not repeat it again even if they apologize.
