Olive Estate situated on 74.5 hectares is owned by a private firm called IPC Homes Limited. It has over 700 plots.
Our reporter who visited the estate on Saturday, said fencing of the place is ongoing even as the main way in the estate has been graded.
Those allotted plots in the area were on site to mark their plots and commence laying of foundation.
Executive Director IPC Homes Limited Mr Adewale Owomoyela advised plot owners to commence work in four months.
He said it is necessary for plots to be developed simultaneously so order and beauty are maintained in the place.
Owomoyela told the people, “You’ve got the most priced part. Property value increases astronomically in Nigeria.
“We’ll do everything to assist you build. If government promises to do a road [obviously referring to the major road under construction in the place], it will be done. All construction works here are in the budget.”
The Executive Director said he was moved to enter into Nigeria’s real estate business because of need to help those at the lower rung of the social ladder.
“We don’t do luxury homes. With N21,000 a month, you can get a plot of land [form IPC Homes],” he said.
Plots were sold to the public for N250,000 last year. It was gathered that payment was spread for 12 months.
