Igbang disclosed this in a chat with journalists in his office, emphasising that their patience will soon run out, just as he decried government’s attitude, saying workers have notified the government about intention to down tools.
When contacted, the Special Adviser on Labour Matters to Governor Liyel Imoke kept mum.
However, Igbang said “we have sent our notice of demand to the government. The first notice was served in June and we gave them 21 days to meet our demands, but no response from them.
“I sent in the next 14 days which had since expired and we are awaiting their reaction. If by the end of this week there is no action, we would be left with no option than to send the last notice of seven days to the government and after that, we would stop work.”
