The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has urged all the ties of government to urgently put in place machinery in motion towards the creation of a pension board for the judiciary as an arm of government. 
The workers at its 3rd National Delegates Conference (NDC) in Katsina lamented over the hardship retirees of the Judiciary faced to collect their entitlements. 
In a communique jointly signed by the President Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu and General Secretary Isaih Adetola JUSUN also said union agreed that in addition to the garnishee proceeding already commenced against some states Government, it shall further use other Judicial processes – vide prerogative proceedings or orders to deal with defaulting Executives/officers of the states governments.
‎The communique also said JUSUN is in full supports of the Federal Government of Nigeria total war against corruption and impunity that have pauperized the Nigerian economy, her citizens and dwindle the fame of Nigeria globally.
“NDC in session once again commends the Federal Government of Nigeria for respecting the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria as amended and call on both the Federal and the State Governments for full Independence Financial Autonomy of the Judiciary in Nigeria as contained in the 1999 Constitution as amended and all monies meant for the Judiciary be paid to the Head of court on time and in accordance with sections 81(3), 121 (3) and 162 (9) of the same Constitution.
“NDC in session has also observe with dismay the collaboration of the State governments and their flagrant attitude of disobedience of the Judgment/ order dated 13th January 2014, delivered by the Federal High Court, Abuja in respect of the full financial autonomy and independence of the state Judiciary as abuse of power which is working contrary to the rule of law, the Nigeria Constitution and the growth of Nigeria democracy”, it said.
