Speaking at the opening session of the workshop, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. George Ossi said the theme of the workshop “Development of Building Energy Efficiency Guidelines for Nigeria,” was apt and relevant, especially as it is seeking alternative sources of energy to help address the energy needs in the housing sector, public buildings as well as Federal Government estates nationwide.
The Permanent Secretary said energy efficiency in buildings is important in the transformation of the building sector.
