World Bank to spend $43 million on infrastructure
Maigari said the projects that were expected to be executed within the next six years would consist of shops, storage facilities and toilets among other features
The World Bank in collaboration with the Kebbi State government has planned to spend the sum of $43 million for the construction of six modern markets and rural roads in Kebbi State.
The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Abdullahi Maigari, who made the disclosure on Friday during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi, said the proposed projects would be executed under the World Bank’s programme of Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAMP).

Maigari said the projects that were expected to be executed within the next six years would consist of shops, storage facilities and toilets among other features of the market in Gunki in Arewa Local Government, Bunza in Bunza LG, Zuru in Zuru LG, Yauri in Yauri LG, Samanaji in Koko-Bese LG and Dodoru in Gwandu LG.
