Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) Kaduna state chapter distributed crates of eggs to orphanages, hospitals and schools in Kaduna to mark the world egg day.

Vice chairperson of the association, Binta Adam said the association decided to distribute eggs to emphasis the importance of eating egg to Nigerians.

“Our target is the less previlage places like the orphanages, hospitals especially the children and maternity wards and schools. We shared over 200 crates of eggs in all these places and on the streets to passerbys,” she said.

She said the association also shared eggs to 500 pupils of L.E.A primary school, Maiduguri road, Kaduna adding, “We danced with them, celebrated with them and at Barau Dikko Teaching hospital, we educated them on the important of eating one egg a day.”

She advised the general public to eat lots of egg because it has important nutrients for human development.

“Egg is a whole meal, it serves as a diety meal for people who want to reduce weight, you do not need to take drug or exercises. If one eats two eggs with fruit morning, afternoon and night, in the next two weeks you will see changes in your body because you will loose weight.

“Moreover, egg contains all classes of food, the only thing egg does not contain is vitamin c and the only thing that can compete with egg in this world is mother breast milk,” she said.
