No fewer than 100 households in Yanoko community of Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State yesterday benefited from rice distribution by Silvex International, an agribusiness company in the state.

Each of the beneficiaries was given a bag of rice as palliative to cushion the effect of the food crisis in the country due to drought and other factors.

Speaking during the distribution, the Managing Director (MD) of the Silvex, Abubakar Usman Karfi, said the event was organised to sensitise farmers in the community in commemoration of this year’s World Food Day.
