World Hepatitis Day: 1,000 counseled

The Nasarawa State Government said 1,000 persons will be screened and counseled for hepatitis as steps to eradicate the deadly diseases in the state.

The state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Daniel  Iya, made the remark in Lafia while briefing newsmen on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day holding today.

Represented by the Director, Public Health, in the ministryDr. Ibrahim Adamu, he urged people to always avoid risky behaviour.

He said people should not share razors, toothbrushes, manicure tools and other items that could be contaminated.
