The new iROKOtv App is designed to provide Panasonic Smart VIERA TV users with a catalogue of 5000+ Nollywood movies. iROKOtv has been dubbed as the ‘Netflix of Africa’ as it is one of the first VOD platforms for the continent.
The application was launched in Lagos at the Panasonic 2013 annnual convention.

The new iROKOtv app’s are currently available for all Panasonic Smart VIERA users across Nigeria.
She said iROKOtv app has approximately 1Mn uniques visiting the site every month from 178 countries around the world. The special feature of the app disables geo-lock facility enabling easy access to content from anywhere in the world.
She explained that iROKOtv app operates a freemium model; 95 percent of the site is free to watch. However, there is also an option for subscription service called iROKOtv PLUS where for $5 a month, users are the first to access brand new Nollywood movies and iROKOtv app releases 3 new movies every single week.
