Happiness Onovo, Businesswoman: I will not do it because it is not natural. If I am involved in an accident and I was told that doing plastic surgery is the only option for me, I will ask the doctor whether it has side effects. If he says it has, I will tell him to leave me the way I am.

Kema Ogunlana: I am a very strong advocate of plastic surgery because exercising is erroneous and very tasking. You work out for months and you don’t get the result you want. Why can’t you just go under the knife and spend just one month under recovery and you come out and look like a perfect size ten? I am a mother and I have had caesarean operation and I am still struggling to go back to my size ten clothes. My twins are two years old. If I had gone for plastic surgery after my delivery, I would have been looking sexy by now.

I will like to do the surgery on my tummy, buttocks, my arms and probably breast enlargement. My husband likes a perfect rounded woman. But it is not about my husband right now, but how I feel. Doctors that are very good in plastic surgery and are affordable should come to Nigeria. They will have a lot of clients, because people want to do it but cannot afford the cost. I have started saving; so that anytime I travel to the Unites States I will do the surgery.  

Cilia Agba, Student: Many people go into it nowadays, but to me I can’t. I see it as a risk. You can lose your life. The second one is that what you are trying to correct in your body may become worse if the doctors make a mistake. They are all human. How will they correct it? Before you know, doctors will be dissecting you every day. Even if I am to be a model and I was asked to work on my nose, I would rather not get the job than go for plastic surgery.

Emmanuel Achanpon, Businessman: For an accident patient to undergo plastic surgery, I will support that. But to do plastic surgery for beautification, I will not be part of it. I have a big Tummy and I will not do plastic surgery to reduce it. Neither will I support my wife to do plastic surgery to enhance her breast or her buttocks or any part of her body.

Mrs. Milcha Pojuk, Housewife: I won’t go for plastic surgery, because I believe God has created me perfect. Going for it is like deforming who God has made you to be. But it could be necessary, maybe due to deformity or for correction. There is nothing wrong with it.
