Quramo Writers’ Prize (QWP) is offering cash prize, publishing deal in two prize categories for unpublished manuscripts.
The categories include Quramo Writers’ Prize for fiction and nonfiction, between 5, 000 and 10,000 words and Quramo Prize for Young Writers under age sixteen, 3, 000 words maximum.
The Nigerian writing prize is open to “new and emerging writers who are working every day to develop their craft and record Nigeria’s original stories.”
QWP aims to encourage and stimulate a new community of talented writers, providing an opportunity for otherwise unexposed talent to achieve publishing recognition and encouragement.
Quramo Publishing is an independent media company committed with a goal to publish a range of titles from cultural history to contemporary fiction and non-fiction as well as academic and specialised work; works that preserve the stories of significant events and distil the spirit of their time.
Entry closes at twelve midnight on August 2 2017.
