Wudil police academy matriculates 182 cadets

The Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano has matriculated 182 cadets officers for the Cadre Regular Course 5, Kano Chronicle can report.

Our reporter gathered that 910 candidates were earlier shortlisted but only 182 candidates qualified for the course.

Speaking at the 5th Matriculation of Cadre Regular Course 5, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, warned the newly admitted cadets to desist from all forms of drug abuse.

Represented by the Commandant of the Academy, Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Sani Usman Mohammed, IGP Idris said any cadet officer found involved in drug abuse would be dealt with.

Idris also urged the newly admitted cadet officers to adhere to the rules of the training, assuring that the police would not compromise academic standard or condone any forms of misconduct from its students.

The IGP said the federal government was investing resources to build highly professionals and discipline officers that would transform the force for better services.

“The Academy is expecting you to be of good character, discipline and pay attention to the training. While Government is taking care of your feeding, tuition fee and other allowances, you are expected to perform excellently in your academics and regimental training,” he said.

The Academic Coordinator, Professor Abdul Qadir Ibrahim, urged the cadets to take advantage of highly qualified academia and specialized program to build their career.

He said the undergraduate programs in academy had been fully accredited by National Universities Commission(NUC).
