A community development organisation, Wudil Youth Congress (WYC), has commenced preparations to empower 376 orphans and less privileged people to have access to education.

The chairman of the WYC, Dr. Umar Shehu Umar, stated this during the launching of the organisation and the establishment of a project ‘Orphan and Vulnerable Children Educational Endowment Funds (OVEEF)’, in Wudil town.

He said that Wudil Local Government Area was blessed with a huge number of graduates, talented and skillful youths, but still needed more effort in educating people.

“We have many youths with various specialisations in local handicrafts as well as growing businesses, massive sources of internally generated revenues to the local authorities through sand mining, fisheries, and abundant arable land,” he said.
