Yankwashi re-appointed as head of FCT HSDP II

The Minister of the FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Jamilu Isa Yankwashi as the Project Manager of the FCT Health Systems Development Project II (HSDP II)  with immediate effect due to his unblemished track record and  outstanding performance in office.

Yankwashi has fully Constructed   six  fully equipped Comprehensive Primary Health Care Centers and Staff Quarters across the six Area Councils of the FCT.

In addition, he has fully renovated the Area 2 Family Health Care Centre. He has also provided all the FCTA Secondary Health Care Facilities with Utility Vehicles which are currently the only vehicles they are still using to run the hospitals. 

HSDP II under Dr. Yankwashi had also spearheaded the production of the first ever FCT Strategic Health Care Development Plan which is  still  a  reference  point in the FCT and institutionalised the  convocation  of  the  yearly FCT Council on Health Meetings which is the highest health care decision making body in the FCT for better Health Care Service Delivery, among others.

In view of the above, Yankwashi earned for himself series of commendations letters from several Ministers’ of the FCT, the World Bank officials. 

Accordingly, the new Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretariat, Barr. Amanda Pam welcomed his reinstatement by the minister. 

Dr. Yankwashi has since assumed duty where he made as his main priority the construction of the ultra-modern FCT School of Health Technology Abuja first of its kind.
